Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

This policy explains how CareerGain (“we”, “us”) handles information on careergain.ai. CareerGain publishes free printable coloring pages for parents, caregivers and teachers, plus free home and garden project calculators, outdoor career guides and resume guides. Contact: zuzanafalta@gmail.com. We publish an email address only, not a postal address.

2. Information we collect

• Messages. If you email us, we keep your message and email address so we can reply.
• Usage data. Like most websites, we and our providers receive technical data such as IP address, browser type, device, pages visited and referring page, including through cookies and similar technologies (see section 4).
• Calculators. Our calculators run in your browser. The measurements you type are used on your device to show the result and are not sent to us or saved by the calculator. (Your visit to the page is still counted by analytics, as described below.)
• No accounts. You do not need an account to use the coloring pages, calculators or guides, and we do not ask you to sign in.

3. How we use information

• To answer your emails.
• To understand how the site is used and improve it (analytics).
• To show advertising that helps keep our coloring pages, guides and calculators free, once ads are enabled (see section 5).
• To keep the site secure and prevent abuse, and to meet legal obligations.

We do not sell personal information.

4. Cookies and similar technologies

Cookies are small files stored in your browser. We use:

• Essential cookies for security, for example from our content delivery and security provider, Cloudflare.
• Hosting analytics cookies from GoDaddy, our web host, which measure site traffic and loading speed.
• Analytics cookies from Google Analytics, loaded through our cookie consent tool only after you accept, to count visits and see which pages are useful. Learn more in How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services. You can install the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
• Advertising cookies from Google and other ad vendors, once ads are shown (see section 5).

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. We show a cookie consent banner; Google Analytics cookies load only if you accept. Our hosting provider (GoDaddy) sets performance cookies on every visit. These GoDaddy cookies are separate from Google Analytics: they measure traffic and loading speed for our host, while Google Analytics loads only after an adult accepts cookies in our banner. Our Cookie Policy lists the cookies we use. If you are in the European Economic Area, the UK or Switzerland and do not want analytics cookies, you can block them in your browser or use the Google Analytics opt-out add-on linked above.

5. Advertising (Google AdSense) – effective once ads are enabled

We do not show ads today. We plan to show ads from Google AdSense on some pages, such as guides and calculators. When we do, the following applies.

• Third party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user’s prior visits to this website or other websites.
• Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to our users based on their visit to our site and/or other sites on the Internet.
• Users may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Ads Settings. Alternatively, you can opt out of some third-party vendors’ uses of cookies for personalized advertising by visiting www.aboutads.info.
• If other third-party vendors or ad networks serve ads on our site, we will list them here with links to their websites, where you can opt out of personalized advertising if they offer it.

6. Previous service: the closed resume tool

CareerGain used to offer an AI resume tool with user accounts. We have closed that tool and its accounts. If you used it, we may have held the following in Google Firebase (Authentication and Firestore): your email address, your name, and the resume text and job description you submitted together with the suggestions the tool produced. The resume text you submitted was sent to our own server application (hosted on Vercel) and to OpenAI to produce the suggestions. A browser identifier was also saved on your device (local storage); you can clear it in your browser settings.

The tool closed on October 4, 2026, and we will have deleted the accounts and stored resume content by November 3, 2026 (30 days later), or sooner if you ask. We no longer collect new information through that tool. Until deletion is complete the data is used only to carry out the deletion. To ask for your data to be deleted sooner, or for a copy of it, email zuzanafalta@gmail.com from the address you signed up with.

7. Who we share information with

We share information only with service providers that help us run the site: GoDaddy (website hosting and site traffic measurement), Cloudflare (content delivery and security), Google (Gmail, which receives the emails you send us; Analytics; and AdSense once enabled). For the closed resume tool: Google Firebase, Vercel (our server application) and OpenAI. We may also disclose information if required by law.

8. How long we keep information

Emails you send us are kept for up to 24 months and then deleted. Analytics data is kept for 14 months. Data from the closed resume tool: see section 6.

9. Your choices and rights

You can ask us to access, correct or delete your personal information by emailing zuzanafalta@gmail.com. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under local law (for example in the EEA, the UK or California), including the right to complain to a data protection authority.

10. Children

CareerGain is meant for parents, caregivers and teachers. Our coloring pages are made to be printed and then colored by children with an adult. Children should not use the site on their own.

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. There are no accounts, sign-ups or forms for children. Google Analytics loads only if an adult accepts cookies in our consent banner. If you think a child has sent us personal information, email zuzanafalta@gmail.com and we will delete it.
